Pontiac Solstice Racecar - Used/New

$ 7,500.00 $ 15,000.00

Here's a fun project we started...but never finished.

It's a 2006 Solstice rolling chassis that was being built into a competition car.  The car holds a salvage title.  It was in an accident impacting the right front corner, but has had professional frame work to restore correct front suspension geometry, as well as new control arms and steering knuckle installed.

The lightweight bodywork included is a complete new Solstice Coupe racing fiberglass set by Norm's Fiberglass. It's a very high-quality set, and features upgraded hood, rear fascia and front fender styles, as well as side skirts and front spoiler lip. There is a super-looking aggressively finned undercar tunnel which incorporates with the rear fascia.  The fiberglass kit doors and rear quarters are stock replicas, as is the Coupe top, which includes a Lexan side window kit (not pictured).  The only part missing is a front fascia, which would be well accommodated by a stock Solstice part, either standard or GXP.  The body kit replicates all stock mounting points for a straightforward installation.  Priced on its own, the body kit comprises a $6000 investment.

The chrome-moly TIG-welded 12-point roll cage was quality built to NHRA specs by Rick's Racecraft of Yorkville, IL.  It has a light coating of surface rust from storage, but would respond well to blasting prior to paint.

The stock quarters have not yet been removed from the chassis, and still show some of the collision damage. The windshield frame is crinkled, and was going to be replaced with an aluminum fabricated unit in our plan, but a stock replacement frame can be installed as well.  All of the stock parts that have been removed are here, including complete interior.  The interior door panel has some collision damage, but the remainder of the interior is intact.  Stock polished wheels/tires are included.

While a mock-up engine is pictured, no engine is included, but the stock transmission is included...unless the buyer wishes to use their own transmission, in which case the price of the car can be negotiated accordingly.  The complete rear suspension, driveline and driveshaft are there as well.

This would be a perfect recipient of an engine conversion, such as the ever-popular LS swap.  We've got over $15,000 invested here so far, but are willing to sell the entire project for half that...$7500.  It's a lot of potential for a great looking, high-performing machine for a most reasonable cost.  Install an engine, put it all together, and go have fun!
