It all starts with a functional ram-air plenum box that seals to the bottom of the hood. This innovative approach seals out hot underhood air, and seals in cool air being drawn from the center headlight opening. This cool, dense air is ingested by a genuine K&N chrome-capped filter, winding its way down a mandrel-bent 3" tube as it arrives at the Hahn-exclusive TurboRam intake plenum. TurboRam is the Hahn solution to the limited underhood clearance that vexes the Slingshot. Its racy low profile clears the hood perfectly through its artfully crafted, TIG-welded, CNC billet aluminum goodness. Precision O-ring sealed to the throttle body, TurboRam works as good as it looks!
Your installation is easy. As we do not relocate the throttle body, there's no need to cut and splice sensitive electronic throttle control wires. Retaining the throttle body in the stock position also reduces stress on the Slingshot's plastic intake manifold. Just pop off the stock airbox and duct, install the TurboRam plenum, the ram-air box with three bolts, intake tube, and replace the valve cover breather with another genuine K&N filter. Quality hardware is included and we even include Allen-head screws to conceal the unused stock airbox holes!
